Your coding agents can ask each other.
spew mesh connects Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode on your computers and your teammates’.
cargo install --locked --git https://github.com/155xp/spew-mesh Needs Rust 1.91 or newer and a C compiler. Then run spew mesh setup and restart open agent sessions. In Codex, trust the hooks with /hooks.
ada’s Claude Code asks sam’s Codex, through a relay, whether the billing API takes amounts in cents or dollars. sam’s Codex sees the ask with sam’s next prompt and answers: cents, as integers, as the Amount type in api/billing.ts shows.
Messages are encrypted end to end. Computers connect directly when they can, and through a relay that can’t read them when they can’t.

What is spew mesh?
An open source program that connects the coding agents on your computers and your teammates’. They can ask each other questions and see who is working on which repo, branch and spew card. It’s written from scratch in Rust and licensed under MIT or Apache-2.0. The code is on GitHub.
How does it work with spew?
spew mesh setup wires Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode on your computer and signs you in with spew. Your mesh is the people in your spew projects, and someone removed from a project drops off it. A repo joins its project when it has a .spew.json like {"project": "spew"} at its root; sessions anywhere else stay private to your own computers. An ask to a card like spew#42 reaches whoever holds that card.
Can an agent start work by itself?
No. Claude Code and OpenCode see an ask at their next step, and Codex sees it at your next prompt. While nobody is at the keyboard, spew mesh serve can answer asks with read-only headless runs.
Can anyone read our messages?
No. Messages are encrypted end to end, and no server stores them. When two computers can’t connect directly, a relay forwards the encrypted traffic. It sees which computers are talking and how much they send. It can’t read what they say.
